Search Engine Marketing Manager

 

Duties and Responsibilities: The Search Engine Marketing Manager will function as a member of the Internet Marketing team to identify, secure, manage and optimize keywords on search engines.  He/She will work closely with the Sr. Manager of Internet Marketing, internal technology partners and external search partners to develop execute and manage programs designed to improve the performance of both paid search engine placements as well as natural search term results. This individual will be required to have a keen understanding and ownership of multiple search engine marketing deals, managing the tradeoffs between the investment made in acquiring search traffic and the desired business results Company's website.

Position Responsibilities:

·        Analyze all keywords on all search engines to determine cost, positioning & return-on-investment.  Use the information as a decision making tool to optimize the search engine placements based on the findings.

·        Manage bidding and positioning on search engines while staying within budget.

·        Mange keyword lists by adding new keywords and phasing out ineffective words.

·        Download and aggregate all needed keyword reporting on a daily basis from both internal tracking tools and partners' external reporting tools.

·        Determine best practices for natural search results and work with product development and technology partners to implement necessary changes for optimization

·        Design & build ad-hoc reports as well as analysis to highlight significant trends.

·        Manage monthly invoices, budgets and forecasts

·        Work with Internet Assistant and/or Producer to create search engine advertising placements and build linking URL's.

·        Gather industry research for search engine strategy development and positioning.


 Education/Qualifications:

·        Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.

·        Must have at least one year of experience with Google, Overture and other relevant search engine toolsets.

·        Must enjoy and be skilled at sales analysis, data manipulation and data entry.

·        Experience w/MS Excel & other MS Office products a must. MS Access preferable.

·        Must be able to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation abilities or experience.

·        Capable of representing Company in meetings and conversations with external partners

·        Quantitative skills including: the ability to monitor budgets and forecasting, understand return-on-investment, select relevant data and analyze data to determine forward actions.

 

Salary: $60-65K PLUS!!  Excellent comprehensive benefits package!

Relocation: Yes, position is in the Seattle, WA area.
