| FOR FIRES | Notify the Emergency Operator and provide building name, approximate location, floor or room number, type of fire (chemical, trash, etc.), and your identify. |
| FOR MEDICAL | Provide the name and specific location of the victim, a brief description of the injury or incident, and identification of caller and telephone number. Have someone flag down the medical team at the building entrance and guide them straight to the victim. |
B. General Safety Rules
Working alone in the shop is prohibited.
Horseplay or other acts of carelessness are prohibited.
Observe all warning signs that are posted near any dangerous equipment, reaction, or condition.
Each person is responsible for keeping his or her work area neat and orderly. Food and drinks should not be brought into the work environment.
All spills and leakages shall be cleaned up as soon as possible.
Main services; electric, gas, air, and water should be turned off when the equipment is not in use.
Equipment and materials shall not be placed so as to limit use of entrances or exits.
All safety equipment, e.g. fire extinguishers, are to be kept clear and readily accessible. All persons should be familiar with the operation procedure of such equipment .
