Dr. Gaukler earned his Ph.D. in Management Science and Engineering at Stanford University. Besides his Ph.D., Dr. Gaukler also holds an M.S. in industrial and systems engineering from Georgia Tech, as well as an M.S. in operations research from Stanford University.
His research interests include:
- Applications of RFID in supply chain management
- Supply chain visibility and inventory control policies
- Homeland Security and supply chain vulnerabilities
- Information sharing across the supply chain
- Health care and pharmaceutical supply chain management
Dr. Gaukler is the Director of the
RFID and Supply Chain Systems Lab, which is housed in Zachry 304. The Lab's research activities center around applications of RFID in operations and supply chain management. He is also a Board member at the
Oil & Gas RFID Solution Group, and Principal Consultant at
Spectrum Operations.
Dr. Gaukler currently acts as Faculty Advisor for the
Alpha Pi Mu chapter at Texas A&M.
