Welcome to the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering in the Dwight Look College of Engineering at Texas A&M University.
Our program is one of the finest. In major polls we consistently rank among the top 10 departments in the nation. We have strong teaching and research programs in manufacturing and supply chain, service systems, quality management, operations research, system simulation and transportation systems. We also have a strong outreach program that works directly with industry to provide the latest research developments that are both state-of-the-art and applied.
We are seeking top-quality undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in obtaining a degree in this exciting field of study. We are also seeking industrial partners who want to hire some of the best engineers in the country and to have access to the latest developments in production and service systems research.
Our Mission Statement describes an education which stresses service and leadership. Our graduates are prepared for successful careers as practitioners and researchers - and they start at above average salaries.
The department is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
