ISEN 605. MATERIAL HANDLING (FACILITY LOGISTICS)

Description:  This course is designed to develop an understanding of the principles of design and operations of warehousing and production systems with a focus on the role of material handling systems. The emphasis will be on modeling and quantifying system performance and understanding how material handling system choices affect overall performance. onsideration will be given to both material transport and material storage systems. A variety of technologies will be considered and issues related to unit load handling, material flow and storage, and systems integration will be also discussed.
