(The following description was used when this course was taught during the Summer 1999 Semester. There will likely be differences in the instructor, textbook, and/or outline the next time the course is taught.)

Instructor: Don Smith

Text: Project Management: A Managerial Approach by J. R. Meredith and Mantel. John Wiley, 1995.

Course Topics

Assignments:

The class will be divided into project teams with specified objectives. Teams will work on the assignment(s) and make oral and written team presentations as per schedule. Cases will be taken from the text and are used to amplify the chapter material.

The instructor, class members, and the team members themselves will evaluate case presentations. Cases will require professional preparation, delivery, discussion, and defense of position/decision.

It is expected that all students will contribute equally and in a professional manner and conduct themselves accordingly when involved in team activities. Team leaders will be appointed and rotated throughout the semester. The instructor will define the team members the first week of the course.
