   Dr. Blank's areas of expertise include engineering economics, international higher education development, and assessment and evaluation of teaching and learning. He is a Fellow of IIE and served as IIE's President in 1993-94. He is the recipient of the 2008 Wellington Award for his contributions to the field of engineering economics.
