Dr. Ellis' research areas include knowledge acquisition techniques and tools, human computer interaction and intelligent system formulation. Currently he is applying task action grammar techniques and metrics to improve the human computer interface for the management of software development. He teaches courses in human computer interaction, expert systems and human factors/ergonomics. Dr. Ellis is a Fellow of IIE and of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society
